Books on shelves

Whether youโ€™re an avid reader or someone who wants to explore the world of books, this list has something for everyone. So, Iโ€™ve included some great reads for all the guys out there who have some extra time on their hands. Between playing with the kids, working, doing chores and everything in between itโ€™s often hard to find the time to enjoy a good book. 

Most of these books are by male authors but not all.  From must-read classics, non-fiction books, thought-provoking books(like Golden Shadows), or the quintessential books, they are all here. Many of these are on book lists all over the English-speaking world as well as book clubs. 

So, in todayโ€™s world of video games and Netflix, letโ€™s turn them off for a short time and dive into some great titles. This reading list is in no particular order whatsoever.

You donโ€™t need to read one of the most famous novels on Amazon, classic literature is all around us.

Reading is a skill that can be nurtured and improved with the right books. Unfortunately, reading isnโ€™t always at the top of the priority list for many parents. The truth is, many people donโ€™t know where to go to find the best books. 

So, I hope my essential guide will influence people to enjoy a few pages of a novel in their spare time.  Itโ€™s a habit that needs nourishing. If you read a lot of books your view of the world changes and this also influences your kids. If they see Dad or Mom reading thereโ€™s a good chance for them to pick up that reading habit and reap the benefits. 

The best thing about books? They never run out of fresh material. Plus, they can be enjoyed even if you donโ€™t like to read or if itโ€™s not your thing. Whether itโ€™s your first time reading a novel or itโ€™s your second book this week, just read. Itโ€™s part of a good life and a path to even becoming a better person.
