Cheers to the French Life

I love having a cold one on Fridays and Saturdays. If you are a beer-loving dad, like me, you gotta try Kronenbourg! If you haven’t yet you must check it out. It’s a classic French beer that’s been a staple of brasseries and bistros for over 350 years. And it’s also been pretty popular here in Korea as well. It’s been stocked in corner store fridges competing with Korean beer brands for years.

I guess the first thing you’ll notice about Kronenbourg 1664 is the crisp and refreshing taste. Yes, just like many other lagers, you say. But there’s something different about the aftertaste of this one. Like others in its category, it’s a lager-style beer with a light, fruity finish.

++It’s the perfect brewski for sipping on a hot summer day. The back taste of it is floral, and hoppy, and has a cool hint of citrus.

But my beloved Kronenbourg 1664 is more than just an awesome beer. It’s a mainstay of French culture and chilling on a terrace. The beer’s iconic blue and white label features 1664 in large numbers, symbolizing the beer’s heritage and tradition. It’s kinda like saying it’s the Labatt Blue(Canadian) or the Budweiser(USA) of France.

The brewing process for Kronenbourg 1664 is just as refined as its branding. The beer is brewed with a blend of Strisselspalt and Aramis hops, which give it a unique and complex flavor profile. The beer is then fermented at a low temperature for a smooth, clean, dry, and plain yummy finish.

Kronenbourg 1664 is a fantastic French beer that’s perfect for dads who appreciate a refreshing and sophisticated brew. Its crisp, floral taste and complex flavor profile make it a great beer for pairing with food or enjoying on its own. Don’t get me wrong when I say “floral” in the flavor…It’s yummy not girly. You won’t regret grabbing a 6 pack of Kronenbourg 1664!

It’s my go-to ‘import’ beer when nothing else is around! It’s also my ‘go-to’ beer if I’m traveling and I don’t like the local beer in that country… The ‘Blanc’ version is equally delicious but has much more citrus punch to it.
